Chippewa Music



Volume II only. This antique hardcover volume of the Bulletin of the Bureau of American Ethnology is bound in olive-green cloth boards with copper-colored spine lettering and decorations. This is bulletin number 53, Volume II, published in 1913. 341 pages. This volume contains analysis and catalogues of the music of the Chippewa, or Odjibwe, Indians, who inhabited the Midwestern states of Minnesota, Michigan, etc. Also included are numerous black-and-white photos and other illustrations showing various people and artifacts related to the topic. Approx. 6"x9". Covers show some soil and wear; foxing, darkened spine, general wear and soil.
