This antique hardcover book is bound in dark blue cloth boards, with gilt lettering and a gilt cover illustration of the title character, "Jock," the dog. Some cover discoloration; corners bumped; gift inscription within, otherwise a clean copy. Top of binding near spine bumped, causing some wavy page tops. Full-page plates, plus smaller black-and-white illustrations, throughout; frontispiece is a color portrait of Jock. This book tells the true story of the author's adventures in South Africa with his trusty dog, Jock. 474 pages; approx. 6"x8". Fourth Impression.
