Lovely three volume set of Dostoevsky's classic novel published by The Limited Editions Club. The set is bound in half yellow linen with hand-decorated paper sides. Designed by D. B. Updike and printed at the Merrymount Press. Translated by Constance Garnett and revised, with an introduction, by Avrahm Yarmolinsky. Illustrated with wash drawings by Alexander King. This is copy #1439 of 1500, signed by illustrator King on the colophon page of volume three. 5.5 x 8.25 inches with 408, 352 and 396 pages. Some mild fading to spines, pages. Overall a very clean and crisp set lacking the original slipcase and glassine jackets.
