Beatrice Cenci

The story of Beatrice Cenci, a young Roman noblewoman from  the 1500s who murdered her father, Count Francesco Cenci. The subsequent trial in Rome gave rise to an enduring legend. Se was condemned and beheaded for the crime in 1599. First black and Gold Edition, black cloth with gilt decoration, deckled edges. 6 x 9 inches with 321 pages. Jacket shows heavy chipping and wear, rubbing. Book is generally clean and crisp, some minor wear and soil.
