History of France

Complete set in six large volumes. No date, c. 1869. Three-quarter leather bindings in tan polished calf with marbled boards, marbled endpapers. Raised bands on spine, black and red leather spine labels stamped in gilt. With 300 steel and woodcut illustrations by A. De Neuville and additional illustrations by distinguished artists, many with tissue-guards. Spines are darkened, leather is chipped in spots. Some hinges cracked. Bindings overall are fair; contents are clean & crisp, aside from some foxing.
