This antique hardcover book is bound in decorative cloth boards, with intricate gilt work covering the pale blue cover and ivory cloth spine. Spine lettering is also bright gilt. Top page edge gilt. Mild edgewear; book plate on front inner board; most inner pages clean, binding tight. This sequel to Daudet's "Tartarin of Tarascon" finds the "hero" traveling in high society circles in an Alpine resort. Small, black-and-white illustrations throughout. 235 pages; approx. 4"x7".
