Contains the "dord" error (a notable error in lexicography, an accidental creation, or ghost word, of the G. and C. Merriam Company's staff in the New International Dictionary, second edition, in which the term is defined as a synonym for density used by physicists and chemists. 9" x 12" x 5.5" with 3210 pages. Unabridged. Some cover soil, a bit of wear. Title page and tissue guard to Webster's portrait are creased. Page marbling has faded a bit.
