Beautifully bound set of leather volumes commerating France's finest literature, deluxe edition of 250 registered and numbered sets (this one is marked number 24). Uniformly bound in marbled leather with gilt stamping on front boards and spine, first five volumes of the set are bound in black marbled leather while the remaining ten are in brown marbled leather. Each volume with illustrations. Top edge gilt, deckled outside edges, decorative gilt fleur-de-lis endpapers, color illustrated title pages, Academie Francaise medal on front covers. Some slight rubbing to boards at corners and spines, medal missing from Droz volume. Full set was 20 volumes, 15 are present here:
