This antique hardcover book has brown cloth boards, and has been rebound in a 1/2 leather binding, with a brown leather spine and gilt spine lettering. Spine has etched decorations of flowers. Spine is slightly cocked; pages slightly browned; some edgewear to covers. Morse, also known for her paper cuttings (which were published in a collection titled "Breezes"), writes here about life in New York City in the mid-19th century. 441 pages; approx. 5"X7".
