The final complete edition, comprising four books bound as one - "Graphic" Pictures', 'More "Graphic" Pictures', 'Last "Graphic" Pictures' and 'Gleanings from the "Graphic." Unpaginated. Single-sided colour illustrations (plus some line drawings) throughout.  #1168 of a limited printing of 1250 copies.  All edges are gilt, hinges are tight.  Edges of covers show wear, heavy in places. Some cover soil. Pages are generally clean & crisp. Randolph Caldecott was an English artist and illustrator, born in Chester. The Caldecott Medal was named in his honour. He exercised his art chiefly in book illustrations. His abilities as an artist were promptly and generously recognised by the Royal Academy. Caldecott greatly influenced illustration of children's books during the nineteenth century.
