This novel is inscribed by Poole on the front endpaper to Joseph Stella, an American painter best known for his depictions of industrial America, especially his images of the Brooklyn Bridge. Stella collaborated with Poole on the 1906 novel "The Voice of the Street."
The hinges are cracked, there is heavy edge and cover wear. Discoloration on front lower left portion of cover to spine. Originally published in 1915, The Harbor is a fictional account of life on a Brooklyn waterfront through the eyes of Billy as he is growing up. 5"x7.5" 387 pages.
