The author was a chef to the British Royals before moving to Hollywood. First portion of the book is a manifesto of domestic service, "rules" and duties of chefs, housekeepers, footmen, butlers, maids, etc. Also includes "Favorite Dishes of the Movie Stars" such as Will Rogers, Greta Garbo, Charlie Chaplin, etc. 6"x9" with 144 pages. Cover soil, heaviest on rear. Extends to rear endpaper/last page with some damage. Edgewear. Some light red colored pencil marks in the text. Binding is tight.
