This antique hardcover book is bound in black cloth boards, with decorative etching on the covers and gilt lettering on the spine. Spine is faded; some cover soil and edgewear; bookplate and gift inscription on front endpapers; some foxing within. The book contains a variety of imagined dialogues between literary and historical figures, such as Cadmus and Columbus, Marcus Brutus and John Adams, and Tacitus and Gibbon. 267 pages; approx. 5"x8".
