Pages are browned and brittle in places, with some foxing. Cover wear and soil. Edges show wear, especially at edges. A few pages are a bit loose from signature but holding. An introduction explains that the cookbook is an 1894 publication of the Journal of Agriculture, featuring recipes submitted by readers from around the country. Included is an appendix and index. 328 pages, plus appendix; approx. 6"x8".
