This antique hardcover book is bound in purple decorator boards. The spine has decorative black lettering on a hash-marked gilt background; dots, stripes and other black patterns further decorate the spine, along with a gilt publisher's seal and gilt author's name. The front cover has a geometric and floral pattern, etched in black, with black lettering on a bright gilt background. Spine is faded; cover has edgewear; front endpaper is excised with some page remnants along the hinge; browned pages. Illustrated with engravings, this book looks at the seven wonders of the new world: Niagara Falls, Yellowstone Park, the Mammoth Cave, Garden of the Gods, the giant trees of northern California, the Natural Bridge in Virginia and Yosemite Valley. 320 pages; approx. 5"x8"
