Very scarce fantasy title, this is the first and only edition in the original jacket. This is the story of "a man's blind infatuation, his heartbreak and his slow decline into a living inferno." Jacket design by Earl J. Neff (1902-1993) was a painter, muralist, illustrator, and printmaker who worked with the Treasury Relief Art Project and briefly served as Director of the Federal Arts Project in Cleveland in 1937. In addition to working as a commercial artist and book illustrator, he gained some national recognition as chairman of the Cleveland Ufology Project lecturing on UFO phenomenon and exposing fraud when he found it. Book and jacket are both in good condition with wear to the jacket edges and soil, and some light cover soil and wear to the spine ends of the book. 5 x 8 with 1038 pages.
